We pick our pigs up

Because our pigs are allowed to run, graze and dig for roots and grubs they provide you with a leaner meat. The dominant fat in pork is monounsaturated fat – the same fat found in avocados and olive oil that gives these foods a “heart healthy” designation. Green grass is a major source of Omega-3 fats (anti-inflammatory) vs Omega-6 fats (inflammatory) which makes pasture raised pork higher in Omega-3s than pigs raised in confinement. Their meat is also richer in micronutrients, especially fat-soluble vitamins E & D as well as minerals.  Our pigs diet is supplemented with organic, non-GMO feed and fresh, seasonal produce from the garden.  They are not fed antibiotics, unlike commercially raised pigs.

When you purchase a pig from us you can have it processed without nitrates or MSG. Our processor also offers gluten-free seasonings for your sausage, and smokes with actual hardwood vs.artificial smoke flavoring.
