Wwoofing
WWOOF enables people to live and volunteer on a variety of organic properties. Volunteers (WWOOFers) help on the land and home for 4-6 hours a day and hosts provide the food and accommodation. If you want to have hands on experience, learn and share organic and sustainable ways of living then WWOOF might be for you.
Our WWOOFing program has been quite a helpful success to date! WWOOFers from across the country have been extremely helpful in their eagerness to learn and participate in our sustainable methodologies at our farm. In turn, we have been blessed with interesting stories about their backgrounds and their hometowns.
We look forward to continuing the success of this program in the years to come!

My time at Telderers Rainbows End Farm was incredible, the highlight of my year. The work during the day was varied and the farm is beautiful, with rolling prairies with woods nestled behind. I loved the animal chores, which included feeding the chickens, the Icelandic sheep, and the pigs. I got to do a lot of vegetable garden planting and preparation. Steve showed me the bees he keeps, which was pretty awesome. I was also there before the annual spring farm tour event so I did a lot of work helping prepare the farm store where local artists sell their art. I met many day WOOFers who came to help during the day, they were all excellent to work with and get to know. Jeanne does it all, running a business, caring for all of the animals and the land, cooking incredible food, and more. It was so great to learn from her and work alongside with her. I appreciated the ability to do tasks both independently and also together. In general Jeanne and Steve were amazing hosts, fun to be around, and very communicative. I felt at home on their farm and I hope to return again sometime. I highly recommend this farm if you want work experiences with pasture-raised animals in a beautiful area of Wisconsin with incredible hosts who have much knowledge and experience to share. I have a hard time imagining another woofing experience could beat this one.

I had a perfect stay at Jeanne and Steve’s. The first thing that surprised when arriving was how comfortable, convenient and pleasant the house was. Jeanne offers a VERY comfortable accomodation and is SUCH a perfect host. Always caring, thinking about making your stay the best, offering food, paying attention to any of your needs… This is top notch hospitality here. Jeanne and Steve are genuinely good and generous people.
The farm itself is very cute and interesting : different activities (animals mainly but also bees and a small orchard), an interesting system, and a great care taken for the animals and their sustainable breeding. Jeanne is very outgoing, likes answering questions, so if you are interested into animals you WILL learn a lot. She’s also very impressive at organizing and managing the hole business, which is inspiring. We worked full days only because the other wwoofer and I wanted to, and Jeanne always offered to work less or take breaks. Besides the work itself we enjoyed each other’s company, and I can say we had very good laughs, which made work even more enjoyable.
Since I stayed only a week I didn’t explore a lot, but you can hike and visit Wisconsin from there (Milwaukee is close).
Also, Jeanne is a very good cook, so we always had plenty of food and god we ate well.
In the end I feel super grateful for my stay, hope I could give that back someday, and would encourage getting in touch with Jeanne for whoever wants to see a great animal farm.

Jeanne and Steve are wonderful and generous hosts who were very good at answering all questions we had. We got to help construct a chicken tractor, learn about wool and it’s varied uses including making dryer balls, we got to learn about sustainable grazing practices by rotating the sheeps pastures multiple times a week, got to work with pigs, chickens and even got to help on chicken processing day!! We learned a lot and are thankful for our time at their farm. Great host and farm to any wwoofer!!!!

Wow, this is such a magical place! Rainbow’s end is the perfect name for this farm. It is truly a ‘pot of gold!’ Jeanne and her husband were so welcoming and patient as I learned the rhythm of farm life. They treat you like family and the family-style dinners are delicious. There is so much to learn about regenerative farming, and Jeanne takes the time to teach you all of it. I felt like I came away from the experience having learned so much. In addition to the daily farm chores, she and her husband took time to teach me about beekeeping, working wool, deworming sheep, as well as the business side of running a farm. The location is idyllic, and the fireflies at night and magical sunrises are just the core for a busy life. It is a happy place filled with lots of laughter, and I hope to return. It was truly a life-changing experience!

I had a great time at Telderer’s Rainbows End Farm. I am an 18en year old young man from Austria, I am attending an higher school for agriculture and wanted to see farming oversee, I found Jeannes farm on Wwoofing and loved that they have pigs, sheep, chickens and turkeys. I spent seven weeks on the farm. It was incredible during my first few weeks I had a collegue a young women from France. With her and the incredible family they made my time at the farm to a incredible never forgettable time. Doing morning chores, harvesting garlic, making hay or working in the garden their is always something to help. Jeanne (the owener) has a passion for agriculture and she loves to explain you why you have to do things. I wanted to imporve my english I am not an native English speaker they where always very helpful if i was missing a word. For all people from Europe i can recommend visiting the farm its worth it. The daugther Marissa and son in law Taylor are really nice to, they’ve been so kind and showed me around took me shopping and visited a country concert with me. Also Steve the husband of Jeanne went to a baseball game with me. The whole family made this time just perfect and I am so thankful to meet this incredible family.
